Welcome

A conference will be held to bring together practioners and applied and basic scientists to exchange information about adventitious root formation and development. The symposium will include invited and contributed presentations and posters on the following topics and related areas.

• Donor plant effects on rooting competence and performance
  
• Molecular biology and genetics of rooting
  
• Biochemistry and physiology of rooting, including plant growth regulators
  
• Environmental conditions during rooting
  
• Performance of plants after rooting
  
• Root architecture and responses to environmental conditions
  
• Applied research on rooting economically or ecologically important species

This meeting is a function of the International Union of Forestry Research Organizations (IUFRO) Unit 2.01.17, Physiology of Vegetative Reproduction.
