Responsibilities:

Human Development: providing families with information to assist them in making informed decisions

about their children and family. Community based programming is practiced by providing educational

resources within the communities that parents and families live and work.

Current programming includes:

PATT (Parents Are Teachers Too)- a program that provides workshops, educational resources and technical support

to parents and caregivers of young children. Program emphasis on school readiness.

Parents Are Forever- 3 session workshop for parents who are going through separation or divorce.

Basic Parenting Skills -Eight session workshop for parents of any age child helping parents learn and practice five basic skills:

Encouragemnet, Can do, Choices, Self Control and Respecting feelings.

POSITIVE PARENTING NEWS- Quarterly newsletter for parents of young children.

Distributed through child care centers and community locations.
