Extension Master
Gardener Volunteers are part of the volunteer staff of NC
State University's Cooperative Extension Service. They provide unbiased,
research-based educational assistance and programs in horticulture and
environmental issues to the gardening public.

Requirements:
To become an Extension
Master Gardener you must fill out an application. In the
course of one year, 40 hours of training and 40 hours of volunteer work are
required. The state page at NCSU
Extension Master Gardener
describes the statewide program. Training and payback hours occur on
weekdays only.

Former Extension
Master Gardener's:
It may be possible for you to be
directly inducted into the program. Proof of Extension
Master Gardener status is advisable.
