Johnston County Photography Contest Rules

Judging Criteria

Photo Contest Entry Form

All entry photos must have been taken by the 4-Her submitting the entry since last year's contest.

Entrants must submit their photos within the division that applies (Junior/ages 9-12 OR Senior/ages 13-19).

Each entrant may submit only one photo in each of the three categories ("4-H in Action", "Nature's Beauty", "4-H Centennial"). This means that each individual 4-Her may have as many as three entries so long as they submit each entry in a different category.

The same image may be entered in more than one category (if it applies to each category) as long as separate copies of that image are provided for each category.

SEPARATE and COMPLETED entry forms must accompany EACH individual photo entered. If entering in more than one category, then submit a separate form for EACH category entered. DO NOT use just one form for multiple photos even if they are being submitted by the same person.

Photos may be in color OR black-and-white. Photos may be of any standard size smaller than or equal to 8X10. Please submit 1 matted photo. THE PHOTO AND MAT WILL BE KEPT FOR THE COUNTY DISPLAY.

The name of the 4-Her submitting entries must be printed on the back of each mat.

All entries must be submitted no later than April 30, 2009 by 5:00PM to the 4-H Office.

Entries received later than this date will NOT be accepted.

Winners in each category will be displayed at the 4-H Office and throughout the year at different events and activities.
Don't forget about the State Photo Contest. Entries must be postmarked no later than June 9, 2009 for the State Photo Contest. You do not have to participate in the County Contest before submitting photos to the State Contest. Some of the State Contest Rules are different from the County Contest, be sure you read all information.
