NC Cooperative Extension
Service

What is the Cooperative Extension Service?

The North Carolina Cooperative Extension Service helps to strengthen North Carolina families and communities. Our mission and our work are dedicated to improving the quality of people's lives. We rely on research-based information to develop educational programs based on the issues and the needs of our communities and citizens.

The North Carolina Cooperative Extension Service is based at North Carolina's two land grant institutions, NC State University and North Carolina A&T State University, in all 100 counties and on the Cherokee Reservation.
