GASTON COUNTY FARMERS MARKETS
There are several farmers markets in Gaston County that provide an excellent selection of high quality, fresh produce and the opportunity to know the people who grew your food. Most markets are open Saturday mornings throughout the summer. Call your municipality for times, dates and locations. Information below is specific to the Gastonia Farmers Market.
The Gastonia Farmers' Market is a non-profit organization whose purpose is to provide a site where farm and home produced items can be sold directly to the consumer. Local producers bring items such as vegetables, fruits, potted plants, jams, jellies and honey for sale to the public.

FARMERS MARKET COMMITTEE
Selling produce through the Gaston County Farmers' Market is a privilege, not a right. Your tax dollars support the local market. The privilege to sell is made possible by the work of unpaid volunteers who serve as members of the Market Committee. Without these volunteers, we would have no market. We owe a lot of thanks to the City of Gastonia for providing the site for the Farmers' Market and to those volunteers serving now and to those who have served in the past.Contact Market Manager Carol Shrum (853- 0049) for further information about serving on the Market Committee or about current board members. back to the list
