Open Spaces

Growing with nature.

Open spaces As the United States population continues to grow, a new housing development seems to be built every day. Our region is becoming more urban, and protecting open spaces for future generations is becoming more and more important.

There are many types of open spaces. Some open spaces are easier to spot than others. Open spaces might be forest, or farmlands, or wetlands. These undeveloped lands are
important for many reasons. Leaving areas undeveloped protects the biodiversity of both native plants and animals, and makes it easier to protect air and water quality. These undeveloped areas also provide beauty and are attractive to tourists.
