Woodland Owners Update

Extension Forestry provides news and information for NC woodland owners through our Woodland Owners Update (WOU) in three new formats: an e-news blog, a Facebook group, and an email newsletter. You may use any or all of these methods to receive and share timely updates on workshops, information, or the latest publications. Informed landowners make the right decisions about their woodlands. We are dedicated to providing woodland owners the best information available and creating ways for communication between them.

Join the Woodland Owners Update Facebook Group
For those who enjoy participating in social networking and information sharing, this is the place for you. The site automatically receives RSS feeds directly from the WOU news blog so it always contains the most recent news items. However, an important use of this site is to maintain a place where NC woodland owners and professionals can meet and exchange ideas, ask questions, and share information through discussion boards.

Use Policy As this is an NC State University Extension Forestry sponsored forum for technical information sharing, it is not forum for commercial advertisement, political endorsement, or other non-intended use of this site. Those who attempt to use it as such will be blocked. Only information and education materials pertinent to private forest land ownership and management approved by NCSU Extension Forestry will be allowed. The content sent to the WOU Facebook Group is also subject to the Use Agreement signed when you create your Facebook account. Please refer to the Facebook Statement of Rights and Responsibilities for further information.

You must already have a Facebook account. Search for Woodland Owner Update and ask to join the group. In the spirit of social networking, invite your friends who may have an interest in this topic to join as well to get the communication and sharing going.

Confidentiality Notice Please be aware you are subject to all privacy settings created and modified in your Facebook account. Information posted to the WOU Facebook group is subject to confidentiality you agreed to when you signed the Use Agreement for your Facebook account. Please refer to that for further information.

This newsletter comes out monthly (no set date) or when a timely message is needed. It incorporates the most recent news blog items and serves as a great source of information through email. The newsletter links to the WOU news blog and Extension Forestry web pages. It is a great source of information for you to forward to your friends and family.

Use Policy Anyone may join Woodland Owners Update. This is a moderated list and will not burden you with spam emails or advertisements. Only information and education materials pertinent to private forest land ownership and management approved by NCSU Extension Forestry will be posted. Please add content that you think is important and of interest to North Carolina woodland owners. Although the moderator will not approve advertisements, endorsements, or promotion of professional services, all other announcements pertaining to workshops, outreach, publications or anything of interest to woodland owners are welcome and encouraged.
