Land Protection Opportunities

American Farmland Trust
"ATF works to stop the loss of productive farmland and to promote farming practices that lead to a healthy environment."

Land Trust Alliance: Through an array of programs, the Land Trust Alliance promotes voluntary land conservation throughout the nation.

The Nature Conservancy, North Carolina Chapter: Working to preserve the plants, animals and natural communities that represent the diversity of life on Earth by protecting the lands and waters they need to survive.

Conservation Reserve Enhancement Program

Conservation Trust for North Carolina: CTNC works cooperatively with private, local and regional land trusts across the state to help landowners protect natural resources through voluntary conservation methods.

Ducks Unlimited ( Wetland easements)

Farm and Ranchland Protection Program
"The FRPP provides matching funds to help purchase development rights to keep productive farm and ranchland in agricultural uses."

North Carolina Conservation Tax Credit Program
"North Carolina has a unique incentive program to assist land-owners to protect the environment and the quality of life. A credit is allowed against individual and corporate income taxes when real property is donated for conservation purposes."
