Responsibilities

Assist Dr. Jim Walgenbach in field and lab work associated with:

• Sampling and monitoring insect and disease conditions in the region
• Evaluation of pesticides and cultural practices for commerical fruit and vegetable insect pest management
• Evaluation of the effects of sustainable agricultural practices on arthropods in vegetable crops
• Integration of mating disruption, biopesticides and biological control programs into apple IPM programs
• Analysis and publication of data useful to commercial growers
