Pesticides Labeled for Use on Christmas Trees in North Carolina

The following are pesticides with a Christmas tree label, listed in alphabetical order. Information about each material is provided as a convenience to the reader. There may be additional important information on the label including extra personal protective equipment for mixers and loaders or differences in PPE with engineering controls. Read the label and follow all directions. This is not a complete list of materials labeled for Christmas trees. Some pesticides such as Roundup (glyphosate) are labeled under many brands. Not all are listed here. For a product to be considered legal to use, Christmas trees should be on the label. For any questions as to whether a product is labeled for Christmas trees, contact the North Carolina Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services Pesticide Division at 919.733.3556.

Please note that though all these materials are labeled for use on Christmas trees, growers typically only use one or two insecticides and herbicides each year to grow their trees. Christmas trees do not require nearly as many pesticides as most fruits and vegetables.
