Name Plates

Purpose

  • Ice breaker

Objective

  • For you to become familiar with how your group feels about a certain subject. Name plates can also be used at future meetings so you will know group members' names.

Time

  • 15 minutes

Materials Needed

  • Magic Markers, crayons
    Paper or cardboard for name plates

Preparation

  • Gather supplies. Make a name plate for yourself to use as an example.

Activity

  • Have participants make a name plate, including their name and something about themselves, such as favorite foods, information about their families, what they thing "good nutrition" means.
  • Allow about 5 minutes and then go around the table or group and have each person tell what their name plates have to say about them.
