2009 Ramps Festivals

Jeanine M. Davis
Extension Horticulture Specialist
Department of Horticultural Science
North Carolina State University

Ramps season is almost here and I’m getting lots of questions about where the ramps festivals are being held this year. So, here is the list of many of them. There are so many anymore, I can’t list them all. You could do one every weekend! Also check  http://www.kingofstink.com/, because Anita Toth Simpson always knows of more of them then I do!

Also, Glen Facemire of G&N Ramps Farm has published a new book called “Having Your Ramps and Eating Them, Too!” This book is a real gem. Whether you want to grow them, cook with them, or just want to learn about the history and culture associated with them, you will enjoy this book.
