The Mountain Horticultural Crops Research and Extension Center (MHCR&EC) is located at 455 Research Drive in Mills River, North Carolina, about halfway between Asheville and Hendersonville.

From Interstate 26, take Exit #40 (the Asheville Regional Airport exit). At the top of the exit ramp, turn onto Airport Rd. toward the airport and follow Airport Rd./Boylston Hwy./Highway 280 for 1.3 miles. Immediately after the end of the Airport Runway, turn right onto Ferncliff Park Drive (shown on the map as Old Fanning Bridge Rd.) and after 1.25 miles, turn right into our facility at the top of the hill on Research Drive.
