A block
of rooms has been reserved in the historic Carolina
Inn, the Holly
Inn, The
Manor and the Villas
and Condos. These facilities are available on a first come, first
served basis. Single occupancy is $110 per night and double occupancy
is $55 per person, per night. With prices like this and world-class
accommodations, we suggest that you not put off your lodging decision.
Staying
at the conference headquarters hotels has several important benefits
to you and to the Appalachian Society. First, you deserve it! Staying
at Pinehurst Resort is a treat you will not soon forget. If you are
a guest at Pinehurst, you will be treated to a sumptuous full Southern
breakfast each morning of your stay.
Next,
you will be able to take advantage of the hotel amenities including
golf and the spa facilities. Note also that you must be a registered
guest at the resort in order to participate in the 2007 APSAF Golf
Tournament.
Then,
there's the convenience of moving between your private room and the
conference activities at your own pace. No traffic, no designated drivers
either! We
hope to see you on the front porch each afternoon as we enjoy the one
of a kind flavor of Pinehurst!
Finally,
taking advantage of the room reservations made by the 2007 winter meeting
committee is an essential form of support for this year's winter
meeting. When reserving a room, we suggest using one of the following
methods:
1.
The best way to assure yourself of a great room at Pinehurst is to
fill out the official lodging reservation form specifically created
for the 2007 APSAF Winter Meeting. Choose your preferred room type
and mail or fax to Pinehurst per the instructions on the form. Click
here to download the PDF form. This form will be mailed to all
members with the conference announcement in early November 2006, but
you may use the form as soon as you wish to reserve your room.
2. Call
Pinehurst Resort directly and ask to speak to Cheryl Shields who
is our Group Reservations representative. You can reach her at 910-235-8476,
between the hours of 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. on weekdays only.
Deadline
for room reservations for our group is December 22, 2006!
