FoodCorps will be highlighting food security projects on MLK Day of Service in Warrenton!
Warren County High School, School Educational Production Garden. This collaboration between Warren County High School, Warren County Extension, Working Landscapes, and FoodCorps North Carolina to build and revitalize an existing school garden for youth entrepreneurship and food security programming. The day will culminate in a community meal in celebration of the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

Tasks for that day will include:
1. plant crops
2. finish up hoop house
3. build fencing
4. build raised beds
5. fill compost
6. build handwatering and washing station
Note: All skill levels welcome. In addition, Caroline needs skilled volunteers, light building experience and gardening experience, volunteers who can help in preparation for the day, and help find resources and materials.
