Tobacco GAP & Production Training Meeting

Tobacco GAP( Good Agricultural Practice) & Production Training Meeting is scheduled for Thursday, January 17, 2013 at the Caswell County Civic Center. All meeting will begin with registration at 9:15 AM, followed by the program at 10:00 AM. Pre-registration is required for each training site one week in advance. Seating is limited at each site. Walk-ins the day of the training may not be accommodated. These meetings are designed to provide training on the new GAP manual that tobacco growers will be asked to complete during the upcoming growing season. This training will also replace the multiple meetings that growers were attending each year for each individual company they were marketing to. You only have to attend one. Attached is a list of all approved GAP trainings that will be held in North Carolina. You must choose one to attend. You will receive a certificate of attendance for the GAP training so you MUST pre-register by calling the number listed for each location. The number for the Caswell location is (336) 694-4158.
