This clinic is open to ALL youth ages 5-18 in Pender County that are interested in showing a turkey at the NC State Fair in 2013 through the NC State University Youth Market Turkey Program. Youth and parents will learn about the youth market turkey program as well as general poultry husbandry such as care, nutrition, housing, and anatomy. Youth will also gain showmanship skills as they learn from experienced handlers.
The clinic will be taught by 4-H Agent, Lauren Langley, and newly hired Livestock Agent for Pender/Onslow Counties, Abby Dilley.
