FOOD SAFETY

FLOODWATERS CAN MAKE FOODS IN YOUR HOUSE UNSAFE TO EAT. DISCARD ANY FOOD, EVEN CANNED FOOD, THAT HAS BEEN TOUCHED BY FLOODWATERS.

• DISHES, GLASSWARE, METAL PANS, AND UTENSILS CAN BE SAVED IF THEY ARE WASHED AND SANITIZED. WASH IN HOT, SOAPY WATER. RINSE WITH CLEAR WATER. SOAK IN A SOLUTION OF 1 TABLESPOON OF CHLORINE BLEACH MIXED IN A GALLON OF WARM WATER. AIR DRY.

• THROW OUT ALL WOODEN OR PLASTIC UTENSILS.
