Forecast Summary:
Wednesday, September 3, 2008

Weather - Central & Eastern U.S. / southern Canada: Rainy weather from the lower MS Valley NNE into the western Great Lakes; dry weather elsewhere; TS / Hurricane Hanna to enter the picture late in the Southeast. The remnants of Gustav will be merging with a frontal system making its way through the nation's midsection, resulting in rain, showers, and thunderstorms. The northern part of the front will be pushed through southern Canada and into the Northeast on Thursday. High pressure to the east will insure sunny to partly cloudy skies and dry weather for nearly all other areas. By Thursday night ... the effects of Hanna will begin to appear along the south Atlantic coast in the form of increasing clouds and a chance of showers. Hanna will make landfall somewhere along the coast on Friday, and is currently forecast to continue quickly north and northeast afterwards. Quite warm to the south and east of the frontal system with highs in the 80's and 90's, but only 60's and 70's behind it.
