***** The Forecasts *****

Southeast.... HIGH Risk for northern FL and the southern 1/2 of GA on Tuesday. Wednesday's trajectory out of far southern GA moves very little. HIGH Risk Wednesday for areas of northern FL and southern GA near the source. Weakly Moderate Risk for southern FL both days. Low Risk otherwise.

Mid-Atlantic and Northeast.....unfavorable conditions dominate today. Trajectories out of central NC are moving northward, away from the cloudiness over NC and the rain to the south. Sunny weather north of NC today. Low Risk to cucurbit crops on Tuesday. Wednesday.... conditions remain unfavorable from central VA northward, but rain will be spreading over central NC late Tuesday night and Wednesday morning. The central NC trajectories move west at a slowish pace. With the rain arriving before any airborne spores can get very far, the threat should be confined. HIGH Risk Wednesday for central NC. Low Risk elsewhere.

Texas..... HIGH Risk for deep south Texas Tuesday and Wednesday. Cloudy skies with showers and thunderstorms likely in this area. Trajectories are moving to the WNW each day, and with a large majority of washout expected near the source.... Low Risk for other growing areas in this region the next two days.

NOTE: Freezing or near-freezing temperatures occurred last night (October 1) in the Ohio Valley. Freeze warnings are out for the southern Appalachian Mountains tonight. A frost advisory is up for the counties near the source in NJ. These conditions may imply an end to the threat of disease development from the sources in these areas for this year.
