***** In the Southeast.... A frontal system will impact the region through the weekend, with unsettled weather expected for most areas. Showers and thunderstorms are expected in the southern half today. Rainy weather will spread northward Friday and Saturday. The wettest period will likely be Friday night and Saturday, as a low pressure area forms on the front near the Gulf and moves northeast. Scattered showers and thunderstorms are expected most areas Sunday and Monday. Strongly Moderate to HIGH Risk for southern GA and FL both Thursday and Friday. Moderate Risk Thursday for northern GA, southeast TN, and extreme southwest NC. Moderate Risk Friday near the source at Charleston. Low Risk otherwise Thursday and Friday. Mixed to mostly favorable conditions are expected around the known sources Saturday through Monday.
***** In Texas.... Unsettled weather is expected for many areas over the next several days. Pieces of energy moving through the upper levels of the atmosphere will interact with frontal boundaries at the surface to produce broad areas of showers and thunderstorms.... affecting mainly the eastern 2/3 of the state today and Friday, mostly northern sections on Saturday. Trajectories from the source in the deep south move west / northwest Thursday and Friday. Strongly Moderate Risk for deep South TX on Thursday, Moderate Risk for this region Friday. Mixed to mostly unfavorable conditions are expected in southern TX Saturday through Monday.
