FORECAST SUMMARY - Tuesday, October 1

*** Dry and warm for many areas during mid-week. Scattered showers are possible Tuesday and Wednesday in the Southeast.... and across parts of the Great Lakes and Northeast as a cold front moves into those areas. *** Hurricane Lili will be moving northward through the Gulf towards the LA coast. It will bring rain to the mainland U.S. beginning on Thursday.

In the Southeast..... Moderate Risk for central FL, southern GA, and southeast AL Tuesday and Wednesday. Wednesday event from central FL may also affect southern LA, with Moderate Risk for that area. Weakly Moderate Risk for southern SC on Tuesday. Low Risk elsewhere.

In the mid-Atlantic region..... dry weather will prevail, with Low Risk for cucurbit crops in eastern NC, eastern VA, and southern NJ.

In the Ohio Valley.... dry weather near the source region near Vincennes. Partly cloudy skies will lead to some spore survival during transport each day. These spores may be rained out over areas to the northeast. Transport events Tuesday and Wednesday are similar. Low Risk near the source. Moderate Risk Tuesday for southern Ontario and western and northern NY. Moderate Risk Wednesday for northern OH, far southern Ontario, western NY, and western PA.
