Regional weather: Thursday, May 9 - Southeast U.S.: A cold front is approaching the region from the northwest and will enter the region tonight. Like many recent systems.... the front will stall out east-west across central sections of the Southeast on Friday, linger there Saturday, then lift north of the region Saturday night. Sunny to partly cloudy skies today and Friday. Scattered showers and thunderstorms possible across central and northern sections; dry south. On Saturday.... cloudy and cooler north with a chance of rain; mostly cloudy with scattered showers central. Sunny to partly cloudy and dry south. Hot southern sections Thursday through Saturday. Sunny to partly cloudy and warm to hot region-wide on Sunday. Slight chance of showers some areas. The next cold front will move into the region during the Monday/Monday night time frame.

Trajectory weather: Clear to partly cloudy through the forecast. Highs in the 90's today, 80's Friday. Low tonight in the low 70's.

OUTLOOK: *** Low Threat *** Dry, hot, unfavorable weather will continue for much of FL through the weekend. Survivable transport is unlikely, as is possible deposition. Trajectories Friday and Saturday move westward into the Gulf of Mexico. Low Risk to southern FL cucurbit crops through Sunday. TK
