FORECAST SUMMARY: Thursday, June 6:
*** A cold front will move through the Southeast during the next two days. Showers and thunderstorms are expected region-wide today.... in southern and eastern sections Friday... and in parts of FL through Sunday. Drier, cooler weather will build in behind the front. *** Transport events from the known sources over the next several days will typically involve mixed conditions for survivable transport and deposition. The greatest potential for disease development will be concentrated near the source areas, though other areas may be affected. There is Strongly Moderate Risk for southern and central FL from Thursday through Saturday. Northwest sections of the FL peninsula will be at Moderate Risk Thursday, but Low otherwise. For the southwest GA source..... Strongly Moderate Risk for southern GA Thursday and Friday. Moderate Risk near the source Saturday and Sunday. There is also Moderate Risk for central AL on Friday. For Charleston.... this source is a Low Threat 3 of the next 4 days. The exception is Friday, when the front will be near the source area. Moderate Risk for central SC and east-central GA on Friday. Low Risk elsewhere during the next few days. Dry weather is expected Sunday and Monday for most areas, but parts of FL and/or southern GA will continue to have a chance of afternoon showers or thunderstorms.
