FORECAST SUMMARY: Tuesday, September 4:

*** Disease Update - September 4: Recent information indicates that downy mildew is likely scattered across the NC coastal plains. Our trajectory starting point of Goldsboro, NC will continue to represent any airborne spores coming out of that region.

*** Active weather is expected in the Northeast today.... and in the Southeast both Tuesday and Wednesday *** Two fronts will affect the eastern U.S. during midweek. One dissipating front will linger across the Southeast, and a cold front will move south and east from the Great Lakes. Showers and thunderstorms will occur Tuesday and Wednesday in the Southeast. Showers and thunderstorms are expected on Tuesday in the Northeast, with drying weather to follow behind the front. There is Strongly Moderate Risk for southern GA Tuesday and Wednesday. Elsewhere in the Southeast.... there is HIGH RISK for eastern NC and northeast GA today. There is Moderate Risk for other areas in the northern half of GA. Low Risk for eastern NC and northern GA on Wednesday. In the Northeast... Strongly Moderate Risk today for western MA, southeast VT, and southern NH. Low Risk on Wednesday. Growing areas near the sources in TN and KY are at Low Risk Tuesday and Wednesday.
