FORECAST DISCUSSION: Wednesday, March 31: *** The southern GA and northern FL sources are SERIOUS Threats today and Thursday *** Conditions are quite favorable for disease development in the Southeast today as an upper-level disturbance spreads clouds and rain across the region. Favorable conditions will persist into Thursday also. There is HIGH RISK for growers in southern Georgia and northern Florida Wednesday and Thursday. Other areas may also have elevated Risk on Thursday, but this is uncertain. Conditions near the other sources are unfavorable for long-range transport or localized disease development. New forecasts will be issued on Thursday, April 1, covering Thursday through Saturday. The weather is expected to improve with conditions becoming unfavorable for disease development.
