14 July 1999 Blue Mold Forecasts

 

FORECAST DISCUSSION: Wednesday, July 14: *** Favorable conditions will persist from the mountains eastward Wednesday and Thursday. *** Growers in south-central and eastern NC and eastern SC are at HIGH RISK Wednesday and Thursday. Growers in the central and northern mountains of NC are at Strongly Moderate Risk both days. Elsewhere......on Wednesday, there is Strongly Moderate Risk for south-central VA and north-central NC; there is Moderate Risk for eastern KY, southern WV, and southwest VA. On Thursday.... there is Strongly Moderate Risk for northeast TN and extreme southwest VA. Other growers are at Low Risk on Wednesday and Thursday. In the extended period.....the weather this weekend will revert to a more typical mid-summer pattern over much of the eastern United States. Sunny to partly cloudy skies will dominate, with a chance of mainly afternoon or evening showers and thunderstorms in some areas. TK
