FORECAST DISCUSSION: Friday, August 13: *** Favorable weather is in store for this weekend *** A slow-moving cold front will push through the eastern U.S. during the next few days. Many areas will have a chance of showers or thunderstorms on more than one day. There is HIGH RISK for growers in southern New England each day. In other areas, the risk of disease development will move eastward as the front moves eastward. On Friday, there is Moderate Risk for the southern Appalachian Mountains, southern OH, southeast IN, western WV, and all of KY except the far west. On Saturday, there is Moderate Risk for eastern KY and the southern Appalachian Mountains. Low Risk on Sunday for these areas as the weather clears. Growers in other areas with minimal disease activity may see some localized disease development. TK
