30 April 1999 Blue Mold Forecasts

 

FORECAST DISCUSSION: Friday, April 30: *** Conditions will be less favorable for blue mold in the Southeast this weekend. *** The low pressure area now off the SC coast will move to the east during the weekend. Warmer, drier conditions are expected for most areas on Saturday and Sunday. There is Moderate Risk of disease development in southern GA and northern FL today, dropping to Low Risk Saturday and Sunday.

The other sources do not threaten any major growing areas. However, some localized disease development is possible on one or two days this weekend in western Cuba, eastern Mexico, and southern Texas. TK
