FORECAST DISCUSSION: Friday, March 7, 1997 - A cold front that moved through the SE U.S. on Wednesday is pushing through Florida and the Gulf of Mexico, bringing some enhanced cloudiness to Cuba. Easterly flows are also causing low cloudiness in E Mexico. Growers along Mexico's E coast will need to stay attuned to their local conditions, as the weather will be somewhat favorable for localized development. The situation for the other source areas is generally unfavorable for disease development for the next couple of days, and no long-range transport and infection is expected. TK
THREATENING SOURCES: No seriously threatening sources.
HIGH RISK AREAS: None
***** NOTE: These forecasts/outlooks only apply to disease development from airborne transport of spores!!! We do not have the capability to ascertain blue mold development by other means, such as transplanting of infected seedlings, nor will we attempt to do so. Please consult the Extension Service personnel in your area if you have concerns about these matters! *****
