FORECAST DISCUSSION: Friday, March 28, 1997 - No long-range threat is anticipated from any source area this weekend, because conditions during transport will be unfavorable or the trajectories don't leave the source region. Localized blue mold development is possible, especially in the S Texas/NE Mexico region, where Saturday's and Sunday's weather will be favorable. Trajectories from the Cuban source appear to stay away from Florida during the weekend. TK
SERIOUS THREATS: None
HIGH RISK AREAS: None
***** NOTE: These forecasts/outlooks only apply to disease development from airborne transport of spores!!! We do not have the capability to ascertain blue mold development by other means, such as transplanting of infected seedlings, nor will we attempt to do so. Please consult the Extension Service personnel in your area if you have concerns about these matters! *****
