Forecast Summary: Saturday, July 5

Regional Weather (Southeast / mid-Atlantic States): Highly unsettled weather for the next 3 days. Classic summertime setup for rainfall has established itself ... with the Bermuda High off the coast and an upper-level trough situated just to the west. Add in a stalled frontal boundary across the mid-Atlantic / Ohio Valley, and you have a recipe for partly to mostly cloudy skies and scattered to numerous showers and thunderstorms in the Southeast and mid-Atlantic regions. Rain will fall mainly in the afternoons and evenings, but showers may occur at any time. Highs in the 80's and 90's with some 70's north, lows mostly 60's and 70's.

Conditions will be favorable for survivable transport and deposition. Risks will be tempered due to the weakness of the source. Saturday through Monday: Moderate Risk to tobacco in eastern VA each day. Weakly Moderate Risk for MD and southeast PA each day. Weakly Moderate Risk for southern New England Sunday and Monday.
