FORECAST SUMMARY: Monday, March 3: *** Welcome to the 2003 Blue Mold Forecasts !!! *** We begin with five sources: one in western Cuba, one in the Dominican Republic, one on each coast of Mexico, and one to represent any possible blue mold on the wild tobacco of southern Texas.
Monday and Tuesday: All known sources are Low Threats. There is Low Risk to production areas of the U.S. Conditions are favorable for localized disease development in southern Texas. Dry near the other source areas with survivable transport of airborne spores unlikely. TK
