***** The Weather..... The weather-maker this weekend is a cold front that is pushing into the eastern U.S. and southern Canada from the Great Lakes / Midwest. The front will move into the Northeast and Ohio Valley later today. It will bog down and turn stationary on Saturday.... in a position from the mid-Atlantic states, westward through the mountains and Ohio Valley, and southward toward the Gulf. Expect cloudy skies with showers and thunderstorms likely near the front. Shower activity will be isolated to scattered south of the front under sunny to partly cloudy skies. Dry weather across the northern areas Saturday and Sunday after the front passes.
***** The Forecasts....
Mixed conditions are expected Friday through Sunday in the northern FL / southern GA region. Other parts of the Southeast will experience mostly unfavorable weather. Mixed conditions are expected in the southern Appalachian Mountains each day. Favorable to highly favorable weather is anticipated for the upper mid-Atlantic areas, southern New England, and the Ohio Valley. If the front drops as far south as expected, the growing areas of MA and CT will see a change to unfavorable conditions on Sunday.
