*** Disease Update - 13 March: Paul Shoemaker's report from last week indicates that light blue mold activity is present in several locations near Santiago, in the Dominican Republic. Airborne spores from this region could possibly affect the growing areas of the United States. This area is being added to the forecasts.
***** The known sources are Low Threats Wednesday and Thursday. ***** A stationary front lies across the southern U.S. It will move to the east today and Thursday. The weather associated with this system will have little effect on disease development, however. Trajectories from the known sources do not move toward other production regions. Unfavorable transport conditions will dominate. Low Threat to U.S. production areas Wednesday and Thursday.
