FORECAST SUMMARY: Monday, June 17:

***** The Weather ***** The low pressure system that kept the Northeast socked in during the weekend will be moving out of the region over the next two days. Partly to mostly cloudy today with a chance of showers in the Northeast. Partly cloudy and mostly dry on Tuesday with a chance of showers in northern New England. Highs in the 70's and 80's. Sunny to partly cloudy and dry in the mid-Atlantic states Monday and Tuesday. Highs in the 80's. In the Southeast.... a stationary front now lies across the Gulf coast, northern FL, and along the Southeast coast. This boundary will crawl northward during the next two days. Showers and thunderstorms are expected along and south of the front.

***** The Forecast ***** Long-range transport and deposition events are unlikely Monday and Tuesday from all sources. Favorable weather both days in southern GA and northern FL will bring Strongly Moderate to HIGH Risk to these regions. With unfavorable weather expected in the mid-Atlantic region, the sources in northeast TN, NC, southern VA, and southeast PA are Low Threats Monday and Tuesday.
