*** Disease Update - 26 July *** From NC..... Terri Scrugs informs us that blue mold has been confirmed in plant beds and a greenhouse in Madison County in the central NC mountains. She rates these outbreaks as non-serious to questionable.

 *** Disease Update - 24 July *** From KY..... Blue mold has been reported in Trigg County, in western Kentucky. Scattered lesions were observed in a shady, 1/4-acre-sized area of a field. This is a small outbreak, but as it lies to the south and west of many growing areas, we will include a trajectory from this location in our forecasts. From TN..... Steve Bost informs us that blue mold has been confirmed in Robertson and Sumner Counties in north-central TN. Fresh lesions were observed in two fields of burley tobacco near the Robertson and Sumner county line.

Unsettled weather will continue in the Northeast Saturday and Sunday, but daily thunderstorm activity will decrease in other areas over the weekend. Temperatures will increase during the next three days for most locations, with highs in the upper 80's and 90's by Sunday.

***** The Forecast......In the Northeast.... Low Risk for southern New England today as clouds increase, with Moderate Risk on Saturday, Strongly Moderate Risk on Sunday. HIGH RISK for southern PA today, Strongly Moderate Risk Saturday, Moderate Risk Sunday. In NC and VA..... HIGH RISK for north-central and eastern NC on Friday, Strongly Moderate Risk for southside VA. Moderate Risk for these areas on Saturday. Hot and dry on Sunday for north-central and eastern NC and southside VA, with Low Risk. For the southern Appalachian Mountains..... Moderate Risk Friday and Saturday, Low Risk on Sunday. In the Ohio Valley.... Moderate Risk on Friday for north-central TN, central and eastern KY, and western WV. Saturday, Low Risk near the source areas, Moderate Risk for southern OH and western WV. Low to Weakly Moderate Risk for all the Ohio Valley region on Sunday. To the south.... favorable to mixed conditions in southern GA and northern FL, but little threat to other areas.
