FORECAST SUMMARY: Wednesday, August 28

***** The Weather ***** Unsettled weather will continue for the next several days. Mostly cloudy with showers and thunderstorms from the Appalachian Mountains eastward to the coast. Rainy conditions are spreading northward into the upper mid-Atlantic states and the Northeast. Partly cloudy skies and a chance of afternoon showers west of the mountains Wednesday and Thursday. Dry in southern Ontario both days. Highs in the 70's and 80's, lows mostly in the 60's.

***** The Forecast ***** Conditions will be favorable for disease development Wednesday and Thursday in the southern Appalachian Mountains and the mid-Atlantic states. HIGH RISK both days for all growing areas from southeast PA southward through NC and westward through the mountains. Conditions in southern New England will deteriorate with time. Moderate Risk for CT and MA growing areas today, HIGH RISK Thursday. In the Ohio Valley.... trajectories head to the southwest each day. Mixed conditions are expected. Moderate Risk for central KY and central TN, Weakly Moderate Risk for western KY and western TN, on both Wednesday and Thursday. Dry and mostly sunny weather is expected in southern Ontario, with Low Risk for that region the next two days.
