Scattered showers are expected in northern and western sections today. Dry and hot for New England, the lower mid-Atlantic, and the Southeast. Showers and thunderstorms for most areas on Saturday but still hot and dry in the Southeast. Scattered showers in the Southeast and TN Valley regions on Sunday. Dry and cooler across the northern and central sections of the eastern U.S.
***** The Forecast ***** A range of disease development conditions are expected in the eastern U.S. on Friday. Mixed to mostly favorable weather is expected on Saturday. Unfavorable conditions will dominate on Sunday. Most of Friday's and Saturday's trajectories move to the east. Long-range transport and deposition will not be much of a factor. On Friday.... Strongly Moderate Risk for southern Ontario and southeast PA. Low Risk for southern New England and the southern mid-Atlantic region (central and eastern NC and VA). Moderate Risk for growing areas of the southern Appalachian Mountains and the Ohio Valley. On Saturday..... Moderate Risk across the Ohio Valley, southern mountains, and the lower mid-Atlantic states. Strongly Moderate Risk for southeast PA, southern Ontario, and southern New England. On Sunday... Moderate Risk for the TN Valley region. Low Risk for all other areas.
