FORECAST SUMMARY: Friday, August 16

***** The Weather ***** A very warm and humid air mass will persist in the eastern U.S. through Sunday. A cold front will be moving into the northern tier of states. Expect daily rounds of scattered afternoon showers and thunderstorms for most areas each day. Storms will be more numerous across the western and northern sections and the mountains. Highs in the 80's and 90's, lows in the 60's and 70's.

***** The Forecast ***** Trajectories from the known sources will be moving to the northeast Friday and Saturday, east to northeast on Sunday. Commercial tobacco crops in southern Ontario, the Ohio Valley (northern TN, KY, southern IN, southern OH, western WV) will be at Strongly Moderate to HIGH RISK from Friday through Sunday. In the mid-Atlantic and Northeast.... Moderate to Strongly Moderate Risk each day for southeast PA, southern New England, southside VA, and central and eastern NC.
