FORECAST DISCUSSION: Monday, August 7: *** The Ohio Valley and the southern Appalachain Mountains are the focal points early this week. *** A front that is just south of the Great Lakes will wobble around that region during the next two days. Hot and muggy air remains in place over much of the eastern United States. Locations closest to the front will be at greatest risk. Growers in the Ohio Valley are at Strongly Moderate Risk Monday and Tuesday. The southern Appalachian Mountains are at Moderate Risk Monday and Tuesday. Growers in MD, PA, and southern New England are at Moderate Risk today, but Low Risk on Tuesday. Growers in southern Ontario, central VA, and central and eastern NC are at Low Risk both days.
