National Egg Quality School

The National Egg Quality School continues the tradition of a curriculum that is designed for the serious-minded student who is willing to learn as much as possible about egg quality in a concentrated, comprehensive four days. The class will be divided into sections of five students, each with an instructor who will work with their section throughout the course reviewing and explaining lecture material, answering questions, instructing them in the laboratory and preparing students for the exam. For the first time, the school will offer an optional HACCP course with approved curriculum from the International HACCP Alliance.

NC Egg Grading School for Small Producers Organic/Range
July 28, 2009
The class is directed at new and established small producers of naturally/organic eggs, extension agents, and purchasers of locally grown products. If you are an individual who wants to learn more about the proper methods of grading and evaluating the internal and external quality of the shell eggs they produce, then this workshop should be of interest. This will include a review of the North Carolina Egg Law and components which will apply to small producers. The class will include both lecture material and hands-on laboratories.

NCSU Hatchery Management Workshop

The class is directed at new hatchery managers, existing hatchery managers, and hatchery quality assurance personnel. If you want to learn more about the developing embryo and how a hatchery can influence the embryo's development then this workshop should be of interest. Instructors are Mike Wineland and Vern Christensen. The class will include both lecture material and hands on laboratories.
