NC Egg Grading School for Small Producers Organic/Range

The class is directed at new and established small producers of naturally/organic eggs, extension agents, and purchasers of locally grown products. If you are an individual who wants to learn more about the proper methods of grading and evaluating the internal and external quality of the shell eggs they produce, then this workshop should be of interest. This will include a review of the North Carolina Egg Law and components which will apply to small producers. The class will include both lecture material and hands-on laboratories.

NCSU Hatchery Management Workshop

The class is directed at new hatchery managers, existing hatchery managers, and hatchery quality assurance personnel. If you want to learn more about the developing embryo and how a hatchery can influence the embryo's development then this workshop should be of interest. Instructors are Mike Wineland and Vern Christensen. The class will include both lecture material and hands on laboratories.

NC/VA Egg Industry Conference and Mid-Atlantic Layer Management Workshop

June 25-27, 2008

This is a regional workshop to address the current issues facing the commercial egg producers and processors in North Carolina, South Carolina, and Virginia. In 2007 the Mid-Atlantic Layer Management Workshop and NC Egg Association annual conference will join the GA Egg Commission's Annual Conference at the King and Prince Beach and Golf Resort in St. Simons Island, Georgia.
