Accommodations

Participants will be housed in the Brownstone Hotel and Conference Center (Holiday Inn) adjacent to the NC State campus. A University representative will meet you at the Raleigh International Airport (RDU) on Thursday afternoon, May 14, to transport you to the hotel (or Sunday, May 10, if you have chosen to participate in the International Course on Poultry Production). Arrangements will be made to transport you back to the airport on Sunday, May 17.

 

 

Directions to the NCSU Educational Feed Mill Unit

From I-40, take Exit 297/Lake Wheeler Road.

If you’re traveling from the East, turn left onto Lake Wheeler Road.

If you’re traveling from the West, turn right onto Lake Wheeler Road.Travel 1.7 miles (crossing over Tryon Road).

Turn left onto Chi Road.

The Feed Mill is located at 4001 Chi Road, on the left.

Parking will be available adjacent to and across the street from the Feed Mill.

Registration Fees

The fee for the Feed Manufacturing Short Course is US $270 per person if housed in double bedrooms, or US $350 if housed in individual hotel rooms. This includes lodging (May 15 and 16) and meals EXCEPT dinners. These fees DO NOT include air transportation to RDU Airport, health insurance, spending money and incidental expenses. Confirmation of Your Pre-registration

You will receive an e-mail confirming your pre-registration from Lynn Strother (lynn_strother@ncsu.edu). If you don’t receive this e-mail, please contact us by e-mail, phone or fax. This pre-registration is not complete until we have received a check or money order in US dollars payable to NORTH CAROLINA STATE UNIVERSITY with a copy of your pre-registration. We will need to receive your payment before April 3, 2009.

International Course on Poultry Production

This is an additional course that will run from May 11 - May 15. The objective of the course is to provide updated scientific and technical information and hands-on experience to improve commercial poultry production. The cost of this course is US $1,250 per person if housed in double bedrooms, or US $1,500 if housed in individual hotel rooms. It includes training, educational materials, local transportation, laboratory materials, t-shirt, lodging and all meals from May 11 to 15 (breakfast, lunch and snacks) EXCEPT the evening meals.
