What is Poultry Judging?

4-H Poultry Judging is not a 4-H Presentation or Demonstration Event; it is classified as a 4-H Activity.  A poultry judging team is composed of 3 or 4 members from a county.  The combined scores of the 3 high team members will be counted as the team score. 4-H judging manual

The National 4-H Poultry Judging Manual, teaches everything you need to know about 4-H Poultry Judging Contests. The manual covers judging of production hens and oral reasons. Grading eggs and ready-to-cook carcasses and teaches ready-to-cook broiler parts identification. 31 pages.

This book is the recommended reference for those competing in the North Carolina State contest held annually at 4-H Annual Congress. The State winners will compete in the National Contest.
