County winners in Divisions I through III should be determined by the end of July. Please try and have a photo made of the youth with the winning posters and place it in your local newspaper for publicity following the contest. You are also welcome to send this information to us to be posted on this website.
Please forward the First Place poster only in Division I, Division II, and Division III by July 31, to Melissa Scherpereel, Extension Poultry Youth Specialist, Box 7608, NC State University, Raleigh, NC 27695-7608. Many agents have chosen to bring them to annual congress with them. We will try to have a booth or a representative on site at congress check in to accept posters. We realize that agents have a great deal going on at this time and don't need to haul posters around!
Posters will NOT be returned unless specifically requested. Please attach a note when submitting the poster if you would like it returned or would like to pick it up.
The following awards will be provided to state winners in Division I, Division II, and Division III by the U.S. Poultry and Egg Association and the NC Poultry Federation:
-
- First Place: $50
-
- Second Place: $35
-
- Third Place: $25
NOTE: Each poster must have the POULTRY POSTER CONTEST SCORE CARD, with the top portion completely filled out, taped to the back side of the poster.
