Working With Elluminate

 

Click the link to join the session NO LATER THAN 9:30am the morning of the broadcast.

Use your full name & county (or just county name if you are in a conference room).

Leave the password field blank.

Elluminate can be run on Windows, Macintosh, Linux, and Solaris computers.

Test your computer configuration several days before you plan on participating in a broadcast. The first time you use Elluminate, you may be prompted to download software. This can take anywhere from 2 to 20 minutes depending upon your Internet connection speed. Please make sure your computer has a microphone and speakers to be able to talk and hear while you are in the Elluminate meeting.

Each time you log in, please run audio set up: Go to the menu bar and select "tools". Scroll down to "Audio" Select "Audio Setup Wizard" This will run you through audio setup for your headset. Mac Users may also try to go to system preferences -The button that looks like a light switch -Go To Sound -Make sure Input is Selected as USB -Make sure output is selected as USB.

We will be using NetCam Client to display images from the microscope. To see the NetCam image on your screen, you will need to have both the Java Runtime Environment (JRE 1.5.1 or higher) and a Java-enabled Browser installed.
