Healthy Sprouts Awards

Applications due October 17th 2009The Healthy Sprout Awards honor 20 winners with cash and Gardener’s Supply gift certificates. Healthy Sprouts is a national contest created by Gardener's Supply, in collaboration with the National Gardening Association, that recognizes schools and nonprofit organizations that use gardening to teach about nutrition and hunger. This year we will present awards to 20 schools or organizations. Each program will receive:Sea World/Busch Gardens Environmental Excellence Awardsgift certificates towards the purchase of gardening materials from our sponsoring company, Gardener's Supply Company. The top 5 will each receive a certificate valued at $500; 15 more will each receive a $200 gift certificate NGA's Eat a Rainbow Kit, chock full of engaging taste education and nutrition lessons 25 packets of seeds a literature package from NGA
Sponsored by the Anheuser-Busch Theme Parks, 13 awards including eight first place awards of $7,500 each, eight second place awards of $2,500 each.
