PUSCHKINIA libanotica (Bluish-white flowers) A. Flowering Characteristics Puschkinia libanotica flowers in mid-spring (March/April) for 3-4 weeks and plants are 4-6 inches tall. B. General Characteristics 1. Origin of species: Asia Minor, Caucasus 2. Common names: Striped Squill 3. Geophyte organ: Bulb 4. Hardiness type: Hardy II 5. Natural reproductive systems and growth and development requirements: Reproduces by bulblets and requires a warm (65 to 75F) - cool (28 to 32F) - warm (50 to 65F) annual thermoperiodic cycle. 6. Primary uses: Rock gardens, beds, borders, ground covers, and woodland gardens. C. Cultural Information 1. Bulb sizes: 4/5, 5/up cm, in circumference. 2.
