Flower/fruit: Flower stalk is bent downward; solitary whitish to pale pink flower with pink-purple anthers; petals overlap at base to form a short tube; three-sided fruit  
Flowering Season: Spring
Foliage: Whorl of three 3 to 5 inch elliptical leaves fold slightly upward
Site: Prefers damp woods with black ash and American elm
